Sun Angel Collective

Building a fan-first NIL community for ASU Athletics.

Director of Social Media · Mya Kai Creative

+214%Engagement Increase
+135%Follower Growth
3Platforms (IG · FB · X)

Analytics represent Instagram, Facebook, and X.

Problem & Goals

The Sun Angel Collective supports ASU Athletics' student-athletes through NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) partnerships — but NIL was still new and unfamiliar to many fans and donors. The account needed to build awareness, grow an engaged following, and turn attention into real fan and donor support.

Strategy

An athlete-forward, game-day-anchored content approach paired with story-driven posts that humanized student-athletes and made the NIL mission tangible — meeting fans where they already follow Sun Devil sports across Instagram, Facebook, and X. The aim was to engage fans year-round on the platforms they were already active on, and to ensure the Sun Angels were starting the conversation, not just participating in it.

Design Process

Built recurring content pillars — athlete spotlights, game-day moments, behind-the-scenes, and donor/impact stories — and produced a distinct brand identity similar to ASU Athletics but clearly belonging to the Sun Angels.

Deliverables

End-to-end strategy and planning, original campaign concepting, and full execution; consistent posting cadence across Instagram, Facebook, and X; quarterly football score updates; live game-time engagement throughout football and basketball seasons; active community engagement — responding to comments and DMs; and advised ASU NIL athletes on strengthening their personal brands and social media profiles to look more attractive for potential brand deals and sponsorship opportunities.

Problem & Goals

Greg Holmes, a candidate for County Executive in Prince George's County, MD — one of the largest and most politically active counties in the country — needed to build digital visibility and voter engagement ahead of the 2026 primary. The campaign had to grow awareness across social platforms, run compliant paid promotion, and ensure the campaign website was discoverable to people searching online.

Strategy

A multi-channel digital approach: organic social to establish the candidate's voice and "New Leadership" platform, compliant paid amplification to extend reach to target voters, and improved search discoverability to capture branded and issue-based searches as election day approached.

Design Process

Produced and managed organic content across platforms communicating the campaign's core issues — economic growth, technology and innovation, affordability, accountability, and security. Navigated and completed Meta's political ad authorization to enable compliant boosting. Directed website updates to improve the site's discoverability for branded and issue-based voter searches.

Deliverables

End-to-end strategy and planning, original campaign concepting, and full execution; organic social content and posting cadence across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok; compliant paid/boosted political advertising; directed website discoverability updates; monthly analytics reporting; and community management.

Problem & Goals

Moms4Moms.AZ needed a strategy to attract more followers, increase follower engagement, and create sustainable ways to monetize its growing community through a new membership program and event sponsorships — generating revenue for the founder while keeping community events free or low-cost.

Strategy

A mission-driven content approach focused solely on Instagram, leading with storytelling centered on founder Stephanie Anderson to build authentic connection with the community.

Design Process

Established consistent branding guidelines and short-form content with special attention to brand tone and voice. Built out sponsorship packages and trained and supported the founder on sponsorship outreach and sales conversations.

Deliverables

End-to-end strategy and planning, original campaign concepting, and full execution; Instagram content and posting cadence; brand guidelines; sponsor outreach support; and website build in Tilda. Following the engagement, the founder secured sponsorship for every event and built long-term partnerships with the i.d.e.a. Museum (Mesa, AZ) and the Desert Botanical Garden (Phoenix, AZ).

Midwest Food Bank Arizona

Arizona Charitable Tax Credit campaign — turning a tax deadline into donations.

Founder & Principal Strategist · Copper Sky Social Media

20,819Total Views (+210%)
60.5%Non-Follower Reach
+840%Watch Time
+5%Donations Raised

Analytics represent Facebook.

Problem & Goals

Midwest Food Bank Arizona qualifies for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, which lets Arizona taxpayers redirect a portion of what they owe the state into a donation at no net cost to themselves. The challenge: most people don't understand how the credit works, or they wait until the tax deadline to act. The goal was to educate the audience, build urgency toward the deadline, and convert that attention into tax-credit donations.

Strategy

A deadline-driven education-to-conversion approach: demystify the tax credit in plain language, show the real-world impact of a donation (meals provided), and escalate urgency as the deadline approached — pairing emotional impact storytelling with a clear, repeated call to action.

Design Process

Developed the full campaign strategy end to end — from concept and messaging architecture through production. Built recurring content pillars (how the tax credit works, donation impact, urgency and deadline reminders, and community/donor stories), then produced branded visuals and videos against that framework, maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone across every asset and platform.

Deliverables

End-to-end strategy and planning, original campaign concepting, and full execution; consistent posting cadence on Facebook; active community engagement — responding to comments and DMs; and monthly analytics reporting.

RISE

Using the unifying power of sports to advance social justice — reaching far beyond the follower base.

Director of Social Media · Mya Kai Creative

+25,714Accounts Reached (90 days)
+69.5%Non-Follower Reach
+81,921Content Views
+1,915Interactions

Analytics represent Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.

Problem & Goals

RISE was a national nonprofit that harnessed the unifying power of sports to educate, inspire, and empower leaders to champion change and improve race relations. The organization needed to grow awareness of its mission, engage the sports community, promote partnerships, and drive program participation — including a milestone 10-year anniversary and the RISE to Vote Campaign, a national civic-engagement initiative tied to the 2024 election. (RISE has since closed operations.)

Strategy

A mission-driven content approach across Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn, leading with storytelling that connected sports culture to social justice, spotlighting partnerships and programs, and rallying the community around two flagship efforts: a forward-looking 10-year anniversary campaign ("Looking Towards the Future") and the RISE to Vote Campaign, which mobilized fans and athletes around the 2024 election.

Design Process

Content pillars spanning mission education, program and partnership spotlights, community engagement, anniversary storytelling, and the RISE to Vote Campaign — branded graphics and short-form content with a consistent voice across every platform.

Deliverables

End-to-end strategy and planning, original campaign concepting, and full execution; multi-platform content calendar and posting cadence across Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn; a 10-year anniversary social campaign; the RISE to Vote Campaign, led in partnership with the NFL, NBA, collegiate athletics, and community organizations to educate, inform, and encourage voting during the 2024 election; on-the-ground content capture at the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans; active community engagement — responding to comments and DMs; and partnership and program promotion.
